Change the Computer Name on a Mac

Normally you can change the computer name on a Mac by going to System Preferences / Sharing.

After binding a workstation to Open Directory I was unable to change this setting using that dialog. Instead, you can change the name using the Terminal.

scutil --set ComputerName NewName
